Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Fighting an unfair bill is hard enough; using BeatBullies shouldn't be. BeatBullies believes everyone should be able to use our service independently and with dignity. Accessibility is a core product requirement — not an afterthought — and we work to make our platform usable by people with a wide range of abilities, technologies, and access needs.
Our Standard
We strive to conform substantially with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we incorporate accessibility considerations throughout design, development, testing, and release. As WCAG, browsers, assistive technologies, and legal requirements evolve, our practices will evolve with them.
What This Covers
This statement applies to the BeatBullies website, our public marketing pages, the web application (including the signed-in experience and your fight dashboard), and any future mobile applications we release.
How We Build for Accessibility
Accessibility is engineering discipline, not a checkbox. Our practices include:
- semantic HTML with a logical heading structure;
- full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators;
- ARIA attributes used where appropriate — and only where appropriate;
- sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements;
- descriptive labels on interactive elements and status indicators;
- accessible forms with meaningful, specific error messages;
- accessible dialogs and modals;
- text that scales, layouts that respond, and touch targets sized for everyone;
- support for reduced-motion preferences.
How We Test
We evaluate accessibility through a combination of:
- automated accessibility testing;
- manual keyboard-only testing;
- screen-reader testing;
- accessibility review during feature development, before release;
- regression checks on major releases.
Assistive Technologies and Browsers
We aim to support common assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control software, keyboard-only navigation, switch devices, and browser zoom. BeatBullies is designed for current versions of major browsers; older or unsupported browsers may not provide the intended accessibility experience.
Third-Party Services
Some features rely on third-party providers — for example, payment processing. We select vendors with care, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites or services. If a third-party step blocks you, tell us (below) and we'll help you find another way through.
Tell Us — And We'll Find Another Way
If anything on BeatBullies is hard to see, hear, navigate, or operate, we want to know. Email accessibility@beatbullies.com or reach us through the Settings page in the app. It helps us move fastest if you can include:
- the page or feature where you hit the issue;
- your browser;
- any assistive technology you were using; and
- what happened.
We'll acknowledge your report promptly and prioritize issues by severity and impact. And here's the commitment that matters most: if an accessibility issue prevents you from completing an important task, we'll work with you to provide another reasonable way to accomplish it while we investigate and address the underlying issue. Your fight shouldn't stall because of our bug.
Information you submit in an accessibility request is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and used only to respond to your request and improve accessibility.
Continuous Improvement
We review accessibility periodically, incorporate user feedback into our fixes and priorities, consider accessibility in planning every new feature, and update our practices as standards and technologies change. This statement will be updated as our work progresses.
